Sammanthi podi





Ingredients


  • Coconut raspel - 2 1/2 cups
  • Shallots  - 6 Nos
  • Ginger - 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds - 1 Tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 Tbsp
  • Dried red chilly - 20 OR Red chilly powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Peppercorns -1/4tsp
  • Tamarind - small lemon size
  • curry leaves - a handful
  • salt -  according to taste 
Method


  1. Roast everything EXCEPT tamarind and salt in a pan.
  2. After cooling down, grind the roasted mixture with tamarind and salt together in a mixie.
  3. Store in airtight bottles or containers.
  4. Enjoy it with rice.
