Meat balls (Beef)

Ingredients
  • Minced beef : 500g
  • Onion : 1
  • Egg :1
  • Breadcrumbs: 2tbsp
  • Salt & pepper: as needed
  • Garam masala : 2tsp (optional)
  • Coriander leaves : few ( optional)
Method
  1. Chop the onion into small pieces. Saute a little in a little oil.

  • Mix all the ingredients well with hand or a spoon.

  • Make small balls of it.
  • Fry each side of these balls in a pan, approximately 7 - 10 min

  • Enjoy when it is cooled down..or make it a tomato- meatball sauce for pasta

Banana Cake without Egg




Ingredients 


  • Banana - 3
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Curd - 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  • Olive oil - 1/2 cup
  • All-purpose flour - 2 cup
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - a pinch

Method

  1. Preheat the oven at 180° C .
  2. Smash the bananas with a spoon or fork.
  3. Sift the dry ingredients (Flour, Baking powder, Baking soda, Cinnamon powder) together.
  4. Mix the smashed bananas ,sugar in a food processor.
  5. Add slowly the curd, vanilla essence, olive oil and salt and mix.
  6. Slowly add in the dry ingredients mixture.
  7. Pour the batter into a 24cm /9 inch cake pan.
  8. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before removing from the pan.
  10. Enjoy it with a cup of coffee or Tea.

Crispy and crunchy Salad

Yield: Serves about 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 Romain lettuce
  • 100g green grapes
  • 100g French soft Cheese
  • 50g Walnuts (halves)
Dressing:
  • 8Tbs Orange juice
  • 3Tbs Olive oil
  • 3Tbs White wine vinegar
  • Sugar(optional), Salt  'N' Pepper


Preparation:
Rinse the lettuce under cold running water, tear into bite-sized pieces, and let stand in the ice water to crisp for 10-15 minutes. Drain well and dry very thoroughly in a salad spinner. Half washed the grapes and remove the seeds if needed. Roast the walnuts(without any fat or oil) in a pan.
Mix the orangejuice, oliveoil and vineger. Add salt , pepper and a little bit of sugar .
Toss the salad with grapes, nuts. Add soft cheese . Drizzle over the dressing and combine. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Beans mezhukkupuratti

Ingredients
  • Beans - 500g
  • Shallots/ small onion - few / 1
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Red chilly powder - 1tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil - 2tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2tsp
Method
  1. Take oil in a pan and splutter the mustards.
  2. Add beans and rest of the ingredients and mix together.
  3. Close the pan and cook these in a medium heat until it is done.
